Wiping is compliant with NIST 800-88 Rev 1 and US DoD 5220.22-M. Where a drive cannot be wiped, it is mechanically destroyed. Certificates of Wiping and Certificates of Destruction are issued to business clients.
This came out of EDI's own IT asset disposition stream, alongside the machines companies hand back to us under contract. It was inventoried and checked before it reached the shelf.
